Dave's irritatingly cool Cotton.

Dave Boydston, quite unusually, was not only putting on this race weekend- he was also getting married right there at this race, so the wedding was held Saturday Night under a tent. I was standing on the very tips of my toes trying to see... It was a extraordinary affair- on the one hand there were solemn people sitting in the chairs at the front where the bride and groom faced each other-

at one point she touched the side of his face gently with her hand as the presiding man spoke- and I almost got choked up myself ! ...the touch of a woman's hand on your face is something very very special...

then on the other hand back at our end- people crowding trying to see the far end of a long tent, all just dressed in race day clothes, with a few inappropriately loud conversations about powder coating and part on Ebay, and a few people saying SSSHHHH!

Jim Pomeroy, of course, was required by law to be bouncing off the walls taking snapshots willy-nilly with a disposable camera. I'll give him one thing: besides being fast, the man's always smiling.
